We are looking for four young people who are passionate about music, have an ability to play and/or compose music and would jump at the chance to develop their skills further.

You will devise and record a musical soundtrack for an animation created by other young people, inspired by their take on the Olympics.

The ability to read music is an advantage but not essential.

A photographic exhibition of 80s Islington.

The 80s - before mobile phones and the internet; a time of riots, strikes and the Rubik’s Cube. Don’t You Forget About Me is an exhibition of local photography, offering a unique snapshot of life in Islington during this vibrant and defining decade.

Part of a yearlong project, the exhibition includes Every Time I Think of You, a film to be shown later in 2012 at Screen on the Green on Upper Street, based on reminiscences and interviews with local people and looking at the 80s.

Lives on Screen is a free filmmaking project for 13-17 year olds. This is a chance to be involved in creating a video artwork inspired by the role of screens in our lives. The project is led by artist David Blandy and you will learn every stage of the production process including developing the idea, storyboarding, directing, acting, shooting, video editing, putting together the final piece.

The final film will be screened at Holloway Odeon as part of Holloway Arts Festival 2012.

Are you interested in filmmaking? Ever wondered how to create an animation? Do you like to draw?

We are looking for 15 young people who are passionate about film, drawing and animation and want to be involved in creating an animation inspired by your take on the Olympics.

You will learn every stage of the production process: developing the idea, storyboarding, directing, acting, shooting, video editing, hand-drawn animation and editing the final piece.

The final film will be screened at Holloway Odeon as part of Holloway Arts Festival 2012 and entered into a competition to be included in the BBC Live Sites during the Olympics and in the Olympic Stadium itself!

Prostate cancer claims 10000 lives a year, in the UK alone.
Now in its third year, The Great Drag Race is an annual event, which aims to raise awareness about prostate cancer. We hope to have 500 men of all ages taking part, walking or running 10km in wigs and dresses to 'drag' the issue into the spotlight.
There will be speeches, prizes and a family get together and performances to backing tracks.
All proceeds will go to Prostate cancer research.
